PT Lokal Komoditi Indonesia (Lokality) is a local food-processing SME focused on gluten-free noodles made from local ingredients. Established in March 2024 in Prambanan, Klaten, Lokality is committed to providing healthier noodle options while supporting the use of local food commodities.

One of the brands developed by Lokality is Freemie, a gluten-free noodle product with the tagline “Feel Free, Makan Mie.” Through this tagline, Freemie offers noodles made from natural ingredients without the 3Ps: preservatives, artificial texturizers, and artificial coloring. Lokality also partners with local flour producers using ingredients such as cassava, corn, and rice.

Gluten-Free Noodle Innovation with Tempeh Fortification

Freemie’s flagship product is gluten-free noodles fortified with tempeh, an innovation that combines local ingredients with healthy lifestyle needs. This product offers several key benefits such as being gluten-free, vegan-friendly, non-MSG, a source of protein, and high in dietary fiber.

Freemie offers two main variants: tempeh and original. To meet different consumer needs, it is available in several packaging options:

  1. Instant fried noodles 75 grams (tempeh noodles)
  2. 130-gram pack (2 noodles without seasoning)
  3. 260-gram pack (4 noodles without seasoning)
  4. 650-gram pack (10 noodles for catering or restaurant use)

With these options, Freemie products are suitable for both household consumption and culinary business needs.

Reaching B2C and B2B Markets

In its marketing strategy, Freemie targets two main market segments: B2C (business to consumer) and B2B (business to business). In the B2C market, Freemie targets housewives aged 25–40 as well as individuals with specific dietary needs such as gluten intolerance, Celiac Disease, and autism.

For the B2B market, Freemie targets the HORECA sector (hotels, restaurants, and catering), as well as retail and organic stores through reseller and consignment systems.
